“Days of sealing up“ is a series of works from 1996-1997.
By employing a range of materials and forms like painting, sculpture, installation and photography, the series deals with the subject of encapsulating the self, the body and personal feelings in totalitarian frameworks, surfaces and structures.
It explores the symbolic force and segregating power of colors, abstrakt forms and materialized rigid threedimensional proportions and its suffocating utilization.
In all configurations the used materials and techniques are assembled to reveal a fetish character forming a closed layer or shield towards the outer world either for self-protection, self-constriction or demonstration of distance and power.
